Can ‘The Daily Show’ Survive the Barack Obama Presidency?Yes, because we love Stewart, and no administration is devoid of mistakes and idiocy. Duh. The end.
I think it will survive, but it’ll be past its prime. Stewart and Colbert will be remembered as icons of ’00s liberal anger, no doubt about it. They’ll still have material, but if things go well for the Obama administration the real visceral energy powering their fan bases will dissipate.
